After months of working toward a reformed rate structure for clients of the city gas department, the City of Jamestown is excited to announce that the Board of Mayor and Aldermen have passed a resolution to amend the rate structure for our clients that will take effect for the September 2015 billing cycle.  The structure has changed to include different rates for different types of clients. The purpose of this change is to offer greater incentive and more competitive rates for potential industry.  It is our hope that this change will help our community to entice and improve economic development as well as increase job opportunities.

The new rate schedule is as follows:

Residential Rates

Minimum Bill: $5.00

Gas Charge: $9.95 per 1,000 cubic feet

Turn On/Reconnect Fee: $50.00

After Hours: $90.00

New Service/Tap: $150.00 (includes meter and first 100 ft.) $1.00/ft. after 100. If rock is hit, additional charges may apply.

 

Commercial and Institutional Rates

Minimum Bill: $10.00

Gas Charge: $10.25 per 1,000 cubic feet

Turn On/Reconnect Fee: $75.00

After Hours: $100.00

New Service/Tap: 300.00 (includes meter and first 100 ft.) $1.00/ft. after 100. If rock is hit, additional charges may apply.

 

Industrial Rates

Minimum Bill: $25.00

Gas Charge: $7.25 per 1,000 cubic feet

Turn On/Reconnect Fee: $100.00

After Hours: $150.00

New Service/Tap: Priced at cost per service address

 

High Volume Industry 

Rates Negotiable: Threshold 45,000 cubic feet

All Rates are Subject to PGA
